Wine Country Event Calendar – be ready for some wine tasting fun

18th Annual Anderson Valley Pinot Noir Festival May 15-17, 2015

Anderson Valley is Pinot Noir wine county. This is your chance to experience the wonderful Pinot Noir wines of this beautiful and serene area of Mendocino County. Taste Pinot Noir wines from the various wineries in the Anderson Valley, attend a technical conference, and participate in other fun PInot activities.

Robert Mondavi Winery Summer Concert Series Announces 46th Season

Back for its 46th year is the Robert Mondavi Winery Concert. The series is one of the highlights of the wine, food and music scene of the summer months in the Napa Valley. Grammy Award-winning artists Lyle Lovett and Melissa Etheridge, as well as New Orleans natives Trombone Shorty, Orleans Avenue and more, will be featured in the 2015 series. The Summer Concert Series opens with a bang on the Fourth of July at the winery, with the return of Robert Mondavi Winery’s spectacular fireworks show and concert. The concerts will continue through the summer with additional performances on July 11, 18, 25 and August 1. Food will be provided this year by Off The Grid, Vintage Sweet Shoppe and Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream. As usual, proceeds from ticket sales will directly benefit Napa Valley music programs.

Music in the Napa Valley

Robert Mondavi Summer Concert Series

Music in the Napa Valley began Saturday evening with the first of the Robert Mondavi Summer Concert Series. This is the 45th year for this fantastic musical event. Once again the Preservation Jazz Hall Band led off the series on Saturday, June 28. All the concerts take place on Saturday evenings in the grassy area behind the Robert Mondavi Winery. The proceeds for this event are donated to art and musical endeavors in the Napa Valley. There are various levels of tickets, and complete information for the concert series can be found on the Robert Mondavi Website.

Festival de Sole

The Festival de Sole is a more recent activity started by Richard Walker and Barrett Wissman in 2006. The series runs from July 11 to July 20. The Festival de Sole activities take place at various venues in the Napa Valley. Proceeds from the series benefit the youth of the Napa Valley in art and music education. Robert Mondavi Concert Series back for 43rd Year
Mark you calendars and select which of the Robert Mondavi concerts to attend this summer. These are always festive events, especially when you attend with a group of friends. The concert series at Robert Mondavi is one of the highlights of the summer season in the Napa Valley. The concert series brings together wine, food, music and the arts for beautiful evenings in the vineyards. The concerts run on Saturday evenings beginning June 30 and ending on July 21. Ticket prices vary by performance, with proceeds from this year’s series benefitting the Napa Valley Unified School District. Ticket and additional information.

Summer Fun at the Robert Mondavi Winery

Last Saturday, after some 40 years of visiting Napa Valley wineries, for the very first time we attended the musical concert at the Robert Mondavi winery featuring the group Ozomatli. What a fantastic venue for a concert.

This series has been going on for 40 years and Margrit Biever Mondavi, who started the series, is still on hand to make the introductions. This year’s summer series of concerts will run through August 1. The proceeds from the concert series go to support various musical programs throughout the Napa Valley.
