Healdsburg is trending. This town has become a hugely popular wine country destination. Fancy hotels, gourmet restaurants, wine bars, and wineries abound in and around Healdsburg. April, May, and June are when Healdsburg is at its finest. The weather is moderate, the tourists somewhat light, and the vineyards are booming with color and vibrance.

Farmers’ Market begins on April 15

The popular Healdsburg Farmers’ Market begins on Saturday mornings from 8:30 to Noon in April. The Saturday location is the West Parking lot, one block off the Healdsburg Plaza. In May, the Farmers’ market adds Tuesday mornings at the Plaza. The fresh market dates back to 1978.

Wine and Food Experience May 18 to 21

Food and wine artisans and celebrity chefs will flock to this exciting culinary event. The event showcases the best of this region’s farmers, growers, wine folks, and more. This weekend-long experience is for foodies and wine lovers. Check out the different events and ticket prices.

Tuesdays on the Plaza – Concerts begin May 30

This event has become a summer tradition on the Plaza. A lineup of various bands plays from 6 to 8 pm. Food vendors arrive at 5 pm, when folks begin setting up their spots. If the Paella guy is there, do not pass up a plate of this delicious Spanish treat. Additional Information

Healdsburg Jazz Festival – June 17 to June 25

In June, it is time for the 25th Annual Healdsburg Jazz Festival, June 17 to June 25. Get your tickets early and book your accommodations; this is a popular event. The festival has 9 concert days that include Diane Reeves and Samara Joy. Additional Information

Fun on the Russian River – Begins Memorial Weekend

Memorial Weekend is the traditional opening of the summer vacation scene along the Russian River. Check out the activities at Johnson’s Beach in Guerneville. Johnson’s Beach offers everything you need for a great day, including rentals of canoes, kayaks, beach chairs, and umbrellas.

Forest bath in the Redwoods – Anytime

One of the most fun things to do in Healdsburg and the surrounding countryside is to view the Coastal Redwood Trees. What a delight to walk through a Redwood forest and do some forest bathing among these ancient and giant trees.  Armstrong Redwoods State Reserve
