The Sideways wine trail features the wineries in the movie Sideways. If you loved the movie Sideways, you would love the Santa Barbara wine country and its excellent varieties of wine. We have a two-day suggested wine trail and recommendations for lodging, places to eat, great delis, and places to picnic. We also have listed additional nearby wineries that are interesting and worth a visit. Santa Barbara is a great wine country. Best advice: First watch the movie Sideways and then follow the adventures of Miles and Jack on the Sideways Wine Trail. Although the film is over ten years old, it continues to be a cult wine movie.

The film centers around two men, one a wine novice, the other who considers himself a wine expert. Miles takes Jack to the Santa Barbara wine country in hopes of some wine education.
