Be sure to see the Tucker at Francis Ford Coppola

The Francis Ford Coppola Winery has to be one of the most entertaining wineries on the planet. It is a marvel with its outdoor area and indoor attractions. The outdoor area includes four professional Bocce courts, two swimming pools, a performance area, and outdoor bar and café. Inside has much to offer to the wine country traveler. Of course, there are tours and wine tasting but there is also the Rustic Café, offering delicious food and fantastic vineyard views. The amazing Argentine wood-burning oven is only one of five outside Argentina. One of the attractions I like best is the Tucker automobile. Francis Ford Coppola produced and directed a movie about the Tucker car, “Tucker, the Man and his dream.”  The movie came out in 1988 and is based on a true story.  Preston Tucker designed a revolutionary car in 1948. The Tucker did not have a chance as the big three auto makers squashed any chance to produce the car. These three auto makers had deep pockets and political leaders in the right places.  Perhaps Preston Tucker was a modern day Elon Musk. I suggest you rent the movie and then head up to the Francis Ford Coppola winery in Geyserville to take a look at this wonderful car. While you are there, taste some wine and roll a Bocce or two.  Bring your family for a swim and dine at Rustic.  Spend the night in Healdsburg or Geyserville. There are many other things to do and wineries to visit in this beautiful area.
