Trinchero Napa Valley Set to Open New Tasting Room

Trinchero Napa Valley

On Wednesday, May 18, 2016, we had the great pleasure of meeting the Trinchero Brothers Bob and Roger and other members of the Trinchero Family. The occasion was a wine reception and tour of the beautiful facilities at their winery complex, Trinchero Napa Valley. Trinchero Napa Valley is just a couple of miles north of the business area of St. Helena. The Trinchero Family is one of the most important wine families in the Napa Valley.  It all began in 1948 when Mario and his brother John purchased the abandoned Sutter Home Winery in St. Helena.  It is a rags-to-riches story. Mario wanted to rename the Sutter Home Winery Trinchero Brothers, but with little money on hand they could not afford to paint the winery or replace the roof that featured Sutter Home in large letters. Today, the Trinchero Family owns three wineries in the Napa Valley and many other wine labels throughout California. Trinchero Napa Valley is where the family produces their most distinctive wines. This spot was formerly the Folie à Deux winery that the Trinchero Family purchased in 2004. The family has completely redone the entire facility. It is now a 22,000-square-foot, state-of-art-winery and hospitality center.  The winery sits up on a hill, and the views of the vineyards and mountains are breathtaking. The winery also has a Bocce court for visitors who would like to play a game while sipping delicious Trinchero wine. On June 24th of this year, the family plans to  open a new tasting room on the premises. It will be one of the most beautiful and spectacular tasting rooms in the Napa Valley. The winery is open daily from 10am to 5 pm. For special tastings and events, please visit the Trinchero Napa Valley Website.
