Bread and Wine

Bread and Wine

How wonderful it is to smell and taste a crusty loaf of bread fresh out of a stone oven. It is intoxicating! Most of us don’t actually pair bread and wine but why not? I love grabbing a piece of bread just like the one pictured above, eating it plain, and sipping a light-to-moderate red wine. This photo was taken at a wine lodge in Mendoza, Argentina. It is called Posada Salentein and run by the Bodega Salentein winery. The chefs at Posada Salentein have a beautiful stone oven that they begin heating in the morning hours. They cook empanadas, vegetables, and bread in the stone oven.

A great camera for wine country travelers: Panasonic LUMIX GX85 4K Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Camera Kit, 12-32mm Lens, 16 Megapixels, Dual Image Stabilization, Electronic Viewfinder, WiFi – Black
