Winemaker Greg La Follette in his Barlow tasting room in Sebastopol

About winemaker Greg La Follette

Greg La Follette, an esteemed winemaker,  is most known for his passion for making the finest Pinot Noir in the land. In addition to his own winery and label, Greg is a vastly sought-after consulting winemaker. At the recent Family Winemakers event in San Mateo, I was reminded of how much influence Greg La Follette has on the world of winemaking. At the Ancient Oaks table, the owners were proudly announcing that they had pulled off a great coup by hiring Greg La Follette as their winemaker. Greg has a degree in plant biology and chemistry and has had over 30 years of experience in making wine. He has seen twice as many vintages, traveling each year to the Southern Hemisphere for their harvest. Greg La Follette has opened a tasting room in the Barlow in Sebastopol. The Barlow was once the location where most of the apples in Sebastopol were processed. Today the apple orchards in Sebastopol have largely been replaced with vineyards. The Greg La Follette tasting room is open daily from 11am to 6 pm. More information on winemaker Greg La Follette and his wines can be found on the La Follette Website.
