Sangiacomo Family Vineyards in Sonoma

Sangiacomo Family Vineyards are some of the most highly sought-after Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes in California. The Sangiacomo Family Vineyards have been farming Sonoma since 1927. They have 1600 acres throughout Sonoma, but none more famous then the Home Ranch Vineyard where this photo was taken. Italian-born Vittorio Sangiacomo purchased this 52-acre fruit-tree farm in 1927 and the rest is history. Wine country travelers to the town of Sonoma and Sonoma Valley pass the above signage as they drive along Highway 12 towards the Sonoma Plaza. The Home Ranch Vineyard is located in the Carneros and Sonoma Coast AVA’s and consists of 110 acres. The majority of the Sangiacomo Family Vineyards are sustainably farmed, and eventually the goal is to be 100% sustainable. The Sangiacomo Family sells their grapes to over 85 wineries.  Some of our favorites are: Rombauer, Ravenswood,  La Follette and Alpha Omega. Often you will find a single-vineyard Chardonnay or Pinot Noir labeled Sangiacomo Vineyards.  When you see Sangiacomo on a wine label, you will know two things. The grapes are the absolute best, and Sangiacomo only sells to wineries that make outstanding wines from their grapes.
