Rosé Wines - Rosato - Dry Blush - Pink Wine
Rosé wines are back! After falling
out of favor among wine drinkers and winemakers, rosé wines
are becoming very popular for good reason, they are delicious.
These wines are dry fruity wines that are a perfect fit for hot
summer days and a variety of foods.
Information on Dry Rosé Wines
- Rosé wines are made from red wine varietals such
as Pinot Noir, Sangiovese, Syrah, Zinfandel.
- The slight reddish color of the wines comes from the length
of time the juice of the grapes (clear) is in contact with
the skin of the red wine grapes. This usually is very short,
maybe two days. The wine is dry.
- Rosé wines should be served chilled, but not too
chilled. Too cold and you lose the subtle flavors of the wine.
- Rosé wines are crisp wines with less tannins and
astringency then red wines.
- Rosé wines go with many foods: salads, pasta salads,
sandwiches, grilled chicken and fish, and light spicy foods.
